AOEO is playable?
I installed the game after one year of no playing. I know it will be closed on july, but now?
I press Play button on the first pop up aoeo window and nothing happens, I thought the game will be playable until july! =(
is this happening to you? thanks!

Yes, as a player who started playing before the end of August 2013, you should still be able to play the game. If the game doesn't launch or the launcher closes after you click Play, please try the following:
Uninstall GfWL and reinstall the Games for Windows Live Client, which you can find here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/DownloadClient
Please try running the client without the game installed.
You should also download the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant to help sign in to GfWL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=15106

Please let me know if this solved the problem.

I followed your instructions and, after clicking "play" on Aoeo on Games for windows marketplace client, an AOEO window popup with the "Play" button on grey and a message below saying "The game is already runing".
The big box on the right, that should show the News I guess, has no text at all, its empty.
Anything I can do? Thank's for your time =)

Please try running the game as an admin by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Run as administrator".

Hey Garmonbozia81, I see you're a member of Microsoft studios...I know you're not the one who makes the calls, but do you at all feel guilty/upset at all with the fact that people spent money on a game that is so easily ripped away from its customers?...Do you feel as if microsoft made the correct moral decision by denying access to this game and allowing it to completely die out...is this the way a company with an extremely large amount of money should handle its business??...It seems like Microsoft is just flexing its muscles and denying the minority (AOEO player base) the respectful and appropriate respect on how to handle business, it's extremely disappointing

We do understand and we empathize with your frustration regarding the eventual sunset of the game. We have all enjoyed playing and supporting AoEO since its launch almost 2 ½ years ago as we’re certain you will, and that is why we are encouraging all players to make the best use of the time we all have left. In the end though, Microsoft and the games industry as whole are a business, and decisions like this are made for the continuation of them, even when we don’t always personally like them.
