Plans for the sequel?
I bought this game during some sale figuring a dollar or two would be worth it. Unfortunately, as far as entertainment value, a dollar or two is about as much as this is worth. Alright, I don't like to muddy the discussion with that kind of value judgement, but the game was less than an hour long (even if you get hung-up on the puzzles like I did) and lacked a conclusion. I'd love to see a sequel, and last I heard there is one in development, but when can I expect to see it, and how long can I expect it to be compared to the first game?

That's probably as close as you're going to get to an answer anytime soon.

I would love a sequel too. The puzzles were good, and I really loved the hand-made art style.
I agree that it is too short though. I hope they finish another chapter (or more).

I agree it was too short, but it' wasn't expensive. I personally didn't really like the puzzles, or most of them (I love puzzles in games, mind you). I thought they were a bit too, how can I say this, "how-the-hell-was-I-supposed-to-make-that-association!?", but maybe that's me.

On the other hand, I loved the art style, very cute and unique. I would consider buying a sequel, specially if it had a little more to it, which I expect there will be.

It's a cute game, but entirely too short for the price. Best to wait for it be on sale like I did. ^^;;

This game should have been a demo for a true complete one. Maybe they are selling it so with that money the creators can have a better budget in order to make the game they wanted to make in the first place. I bought it for around 1-2 dollars, so I cant complain. The only thing that I wish they fix in the sequel is the super weird puzzles. The part where you have to open the 3 digit lock was just really hard for a normal person to figure it on its own. I wouldnt mind paying $15 for a game like this as long as its complete and rewarding. If the sequel is just like the first one, even if its a $1 I wouldnt waste my time.

It has been 6 months since I finished playing this game, still no updates. I think 6 months is rather long for a game like this, if they did planned to update this. tbh I think the current game is just something that looks a bit more fancy than those free games on some flash game sites. I had been expecting the update but it takes just too long that I have forgotten this game.

The sequel is getting closer to release, thanks all for the interest. If you want to keep up to date with things check out this page http://www.stateofplaygames.com/work/lumino-city/ as well as our blog at www.stateofplaygames.com/blog

Agree with the above. Had such huge potential with the visual design and music, but far too short and the combination lock puzzle was way too obscure. If they lenghten it to about 20x the current length and stay away from illogical puzzles, it'll be worth a solid $10, but not much more.

i agreed, i got mine from humble... paid a few dollars, averaged a dollar a game, and thats about how much fun I had with it...
maybe if it was longer, and you could change the song it might be better

Glad I bought this in the sale, but even so, it's really only a demo version of what could be a great game. It has a nice style, but like others have said, some of the clues are a bit esoteric and some very simple. Very limited interplay, but I enjoyed the animation & design.

The dev posted that the sequel was soon to be finished ...... A YEAR AGO. I checked their website and it seems they have been busy doing other projects. I really doubt lume 2 will ever see light.

I'm being hopeful, but it's hard to think that it will be released. They posted a video teaser almost a year ago but no updates since.

I also enjoyed Lume. And totally agree, it was way too short!! I was reeeeally disappointed when the game ended. Really hoping to game the sequel anytime soon!
