Stuck on chapter 2, can't open inventory

I can't open the inventory anymore after handing the tapes to Salvador at the end of Chapter 2. I looked up a walkthrough and it says " Use the conference video on the power plant video that is right end of the table.", except I can't actually open my inventory to select the video. Am I legally re­tar­ded or is this a bug? Restarting the game didn't help.

Same thing happened to me. Right doubleclick brings menu up for a brief moment, then it disappears back. If you are lucky, you can manage to select an item, but long left click does not work aniway, so I'm stuck.

Am having the same problem exactly. Tried verifying the game cache and it said there was a faulty file. It fixed it and I tried the game again, but still no joy. Tried adjusting various settings and still no change.

Yeah, I tried everything I could think of as well, eventually gave up and uninstalled the game. Too bad, I rather enjoyed the story so far.

I retried this part for about five times, tried skipping dialogs etc. Finally I've pressed esc just before the conversation near the time capsule began, and listened to it staring at the main menu screen. After that the invntory was back, and I could continue the game. So I fought glitches with glitches... BTW inventory disappeared three more times later in the game, skipping dialogs before that or just going to another location helped.

Also it looks like Daedalic could help you with sending the save files right after bugged sequences, just write them an e-mail describing the situation.

Thanks that just sorted me out after getting stuck at this exact same point.

Until about one minute ago, I have had the same problem. The solution was simple: I opened the options and chose the windowed mode. Then I restarted the game and everything worked out well again. Then you can also change it to full screen mode again.

I got around this issue by changing the "Scaling method" and "Additional Effects" in the Visionaire Configuration Tool.

30 Nov 2016 - the bug is still there.. I googled for a solution and I found that pressing F8 and returning to game fixes the issue (thanks to Ingsoc85).

Hi there.
2020 10.31, and STILL bugged. Crazy world. I don't think it would take so long time to fix it with a micropatch..
Anyway, the solution is simple, I can confirm: during game push F8, that brings up menu, and then simply click on return game, and voila.
Shame on Daedalic..
