FIX #1 - VERIFICATION + SYNC
Try these steps:
Step 1 | Verify integrity of game cache by right-clicking 'ORION: Prelude' in your Steam Library and selecting 'Properties', 'Local Files' and 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'. Test it again.

Step 2 | Restart Steam. Test it again.

Step 3 | Restart your PC. Test it again.

Step 4 | If on Windows 8.1, Run in Windows 8.0 Compatibility mode. Test it again.

Step 5 | Re-install 'ORION: Prelude'. Test it again.

FIX #2 - REDISTRUBITION
(For: Crashes at start up, not starting up, black screen at start up.)
Step 1 | Re-install the redistribution packages located in:
...\Steam\SteamApps\common\orion dino beatdown\Binaries\RedistUE3Redist.exe
...\Steam\SteamApps\common\orion dino beatdown\Binaries\InstallData\dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe

FIX #3 - STARTING THE GAME IN WINDOWED MODE
(For: Crashes at start up, not starting up, black screen at start up.)
"For anyone who might be having the same issue I have, someone explained to me a fix for it. Go to your library and find the game. Right click and go to properties. Click "set launch options" and type into the box "-windowed" (without the quotes): Launch the game and go into the options to change the resolution settings. 1. Right click the game in steam library and do an integrity check on the game.

2. Make surte graphics are setup correctly for your processor type and resolution.

4. Update Windows Via windows update- Do not upgrade your grapghics driver to the WDDM version of the graphics driver-

5. Check that all your system drivers are up to date.

Graphics Drivers- Click start type DXDIAG use display tab to see your card type DO A CLEAN INSTALL.

9. Make sure your system doesn't have viruses eating resources.

10. Make sure ports are forwarded on router and modem 7777,7778,7779

11. Make sure outgoing and incoming rules are inplace for operating system firewall on ports 7777, 7778, 7779.

12. Add an exception for the game to your antivirus to prevent packet scanning for the game.

I'm sure there is more that can be done but this is a start.
Don't install any addition software with anything in this thread and uninstall all new software when done- Defragger, drive booster ect. EVERTHING IN HERE IS FREE- DONOT START ANY FREE TRIALS.

I've tried this many times, and my game still crashes like, 10 times before I can actually get into a game, and even then it crashes AFTER I play that one game... again with no log so I can't post anything. Any other suggestions?

Once my AMD gr.driver crashed the DinoHordeGame.exe , it crashes every time I connect to a server after everything is loaded and ready.
The only help is RESTART my PC :(((

i have the same problem as run ox and ive only managed to play 1 online game but it was fps lagging hard and ive validated the cache as well is there an alternative?

Server list won't refresh, won't let me connect (I hit the connect button and then it does absolutely nothing), and after about fifty tries and it finally does let me conenct, it won't even start the game - just disconnects me from the host.
Good try guys, but your game is, quite literally, unplayable.

Verified the cache five times all ready, too. Files all checked out.

I'm encountering an issue where the game seems to hitch about every second. Outside of that fraction of a second stop, it runs smoothly. It happens in the pre-game menus and in-game - but strangely not if I hit escape to access menus during a game.
I have already tried verifying the local files and rebooting. Any other advice?
[edit] I've also noticed the hands flicker with the hitch, if that helps any

i have the same problem, in the main menu and during game play it stutters like crazy, yet when i puch escape during game play the stuttering stops.
ive tried verifying the cache, reinstalling, restarting steam and my pc, setting the game to different graphic options, nothing makes a difference.

I haven't been able to get my game open for just over a few months now. Sad, I think I gave it a better review than I gave any of the other 175 games i have on my account.
