The Sims(TM) Medieval

The Sims(TM) Medieval

"Quit whining, the game is fine." A Review.
I was surprised to see so much hate for this game. I used to own a copy awhile back, but unfortunately lost the CD. I was happy to see it on Steam, but browsing the Discussions to see if anyone was having issues with the steam version, I was quite astounded to see so much blind hate for this game.

Now before I go on, if Sims medieval isn't your cup of tea, that's fine. But don't say "hey don't buy this it sucks!" and think that counts as having an intelligent demeanor towards Sims Medieval. If you don't like, you don't like it.

Now for the review.

The game is very similar to other Sims Games, but also has a very big difference at the same time.

The similiarities will make it quite comfortable. Creating your sim, having to feed them, bathe them, keep them happy, etc. However on the flip side, your focusing instead on your Kingdom, not your house. Therefore you can create, and customize your Castle, and any of the other buildings inside your Kingdom just the same as any other Sims games. Put beds, wallpaper, chandaliers, and anything else you want, anywhere you want within their space.

The main difference however, is what I think most people are getting tied up on. It's focused more on Role-playing as the leader of your Kingdom, and you must make decisions that influence that. Likewise, you'll find yourself exploring your little hamlet outside of the Castle, talking to your towns people, and mingling with them.

I for one find it a great addition to the Sims games, with it being both refreshingly different, yet so similar at the same time. Creating a fun RP experience of running a Kingdom Sims style.

If you like The Sims, then chances are you'll like this game as well, so long as you understand the differences before going into it.

Were not putting Hate on the game, were atchally concerned for it, have you not noticed that the discussions are talking of the game not running, reason being, it is not compatiable with Windows 8. EA have abandoned it, this problem still has not been tended to.

Not talking about those people.
This is an EA game. Expect hate seeing how they do not care about their users.
I really love the game and I think is an underrated jewel. Some sims hardcore hated it because you can’t build your own house

But it has some annoying bugs that never were fixed and desperate me a little:

-The game doesn’t respect the “privacy” room settings, often you find random sims getting in your room, drinking your whine, sitting in your furniture and such… even when in theory the room is set to only you or your family to get in.

-often when the Jacoban priest gets work to use the “torture chair” I think is glitched, I know how the chair works because with the spy works fine.

As for windows 8, I don’t blame EA (even when I hate them too), the game is old and I spend too much in steam forums to notice that w8 is s*** designed for mobiles, touch screen and the such, NOT for gaming, w8 users are always whining that they can’t play games (this is one in a long list), that’s why I stick with w7
