Please make this game playable under Windows 7.
Games like these in Steam should be taken care of and made allowed to work with newer operating systems, just like what GOG is doing with the same game releases.

I bought this game awhile ago, and still have yet to play it.

Also this patch: http://www.sierrahelp.com/Patches-Updates/Patches-Updates-Games/KingsQuestUpdates.html (Scroll to the bottom) should be integrated into this release.

May I suggest, if you can find an older computer with XP-os, it might run. Mine did. I have TWO of these as I wanted to share with fmaily, but they will not run on newer computers, CAVEAT> have not tried W-7 Pro yet. The gmaes did run OK under 3.1 and XP. They are fun, entertaining and (don't tell the kids) educational. Would paly again just for the music and puzzles.

You shouldent have to buy an older compuer or install and older version of your windows to get a steam game to work..

The GOG release should work though.

I agree that it would be nice if it worked on Windows 7/8 out of the box, but Steam has no control over this. Steam has a license to sell the game, but I'm sure any fixes/updates are required to come from Sierra.

I never suggested that Valve/Steam has any control of this. I was comparing the Steam and GOG platforms that have the same game released on both. The same game works on GOG and not on Steam. The producers just need to update the Steam release with the same patches that the GOG release already has.
