Cannot user CameraBag 2 as external editor in Lightroom Mac OS
Something is up with how Steam passes the file path from Lightroom to CameraBag 2. Also, I cannot launch CameraBag independent of Steam.

It would be really nice if this was sorted out. I bought this on the flash sale as some of the built in presets are actually quite nice in CameraBag.

Bah, I installed the demo from their website, which does work as an external editor in Lightroom 4, and some of the effects were pretty good so was heading to buy it...untill I saw your post.

Thanks for the information.

Crobe! I don't have this problem... win7 x64 Lightroom 4.2. and CameraBag 2 from Steam, works just dandy for me, added it in Lightroom, Preferances/External Editors

No problems, just to let you know.

Maybe it's specific to Mac OS then? I'm running 10.7 with LR 3.6

Thanks for the info Bubblegum, - that is what I did with the demo and it worked. I'll take another look if comes back on sale. Some of the lightleak stuff is very good in it - a lot of the "normal" filter effects can be replicate in Lightroom but there are some interesting looks in Camerabag.

I'm running on Windows so it could be Mac specific Vilson. Maybe grab the demo from their webby and install it, see if that passes through without Steam in the way?

@Crobe

That was a good idea using the demo. It worked to setup the demo as an external editor. One minor caveat though, CameraBag2 needs to be open in order for the picture to show up in it. Now this is with the demo version only.

I tested this out with the copy installed through steam, I had camerabag2 already open, configured it as an external editor. I get an error that CameraBag2 is already open. So, seems to be a Mac OS specific issue related to steam.

If you buy the app directly from the Dev it works fine as an external editor in Mac OS.

Works fine for me, using win7.
I just had to direct lightroom to where the exe was, steamapps/common blabla.
