I recall that Shogun was a high recommended and appreicated realtime (and partly turnbased) strategy game in the past. Somehow the Japanese middle ages fascinated me back then and I tried that game. Boy was I suprised with the action. You start out with a map of Japan where you have cities castles, countries that you have to maintain or even conquer. It is like an advanced version of a chess board. Sofar the turn based part.

It might come to a point where your armies symbolised with a somekind of chess piece on the map respond to the other players chess piece. There appears an option for real time battle. You then will be taken to the real time battlefield where your troops are lined up. You choose a location on the battlefield and you start the actual battle. The first thing I noticed was that the armies were not limited to a few hundred warriors in a battle. There were huge armies of thousants of warriors all lined up and ready to do some action.

There is siege equipment troops with bows, early versions of cannons and guns. It is very nice. Shogun 2 is an improved version of that highy appreciated game in the past. I must say this game has campagne coop. You can play on the turn based map and fight battles together with your online buddies. I been playing this game for hours now and still enjoy it very much.

Seriously guys, this review has been made nearly 5 years ago and at 2017-2018, you'd ask him if he's new to this type of gameplay? Jesus, not everyone knows of this type of gameplay, I play Total War at school and some of my friends do not even recognize the game. Point is, there are people who are new or are completely foreign to this type of gameplay (Turn based at world map, turns into real-time upon engaging another army) and if anything you can't really blame the guy tbh.

"It might come to a point where your armies symbolised with a somekind of chess piece on the map respond to the other players chess piece"

lol.

Did you also notice that some kind of graphical thing symbolizing an arrow hushes over the screen once you move a certain object situated on your desk in real life? Isn't that freaking insane??

Yeah well there weren't many others probably writing about this game at all. I am not going to prove to anyone anything at all. The review is real as it gets. At least I am trying to share some of the experiences I had with this game. If you dont like the review just write yourself one too.

It's really, really odd that this is the only review.

Review doesn't fit the DLC.
One ROTS AI blows... Even friendly clans will just sail from the far side of nowhere to drop a full stack in your back yard with no affiliation to any wars going on. Just AI spam...
If you want to play this just attack everyone because that is what will happen to you as the game progresses.
The trade nodes are pretty useless as you will get AI spam attacking them everywhere.
Once you get a certain amount of trade going to cause an upset in the economy expect the AI to block trade. Which the economy vs unit costs is pretty lop sided. Although the AI can pump them out like immigrants.
Haven't even tried the base Shogun 2 game. Thought I would play Rise first..

Your profile reads "I'm a mature hardcore gamer" this and this review doesn't mix.
One of the 2 is fake.

Are you new to computer games or something?
You're writing like you've never played a computer game before.
Well if that's the clientele that gives thumbs up votes, then I'm not surprised so many bad games get so many thumbs up votes, not saying this is bad, idk if it is or isn't.

Where's the option to write a review for this DLC??
It's the best.
